I didn?t watch the Billboard Music Awards so I don?t know anything about the kiss between Britney Spears and Rihanna but I personally find it offensive when two straight people engage in same-sex kissing just to cause controversy. The fact that they?re doing it to cause controversy, sends the message that the action is wrong and outside the norms of our society, IMO. Hopefully some day soon same sex couples kissing or showing affection in public won?t be considered to be sensational or outside the norms of our society. I don?t know, maybe I?m all wrong about this but I just don?t feel that Britney and Rihanna kissing at an awards show does anything to further the GLBTQ cause or the cause for marriage equality. As far as I can tell, it just helps them sell albums. :p
