The Rodeo | Yankee Vuvuzela

In early America, rodeos are local events for the cowboys when they rest of their daily work. Modern Rodeo is now officially controlled by the Association of Professional Rodeo Cowboys in the U.S., although there are many local competitions, as well as high school and college high-level competitions. Women also participated in the rougher events as well as the pageantry and riding skills. But after the death of two female rodeo riders in the twentieth century, the participation of women in the most dangerous event has been canceled. But in sanctioned professional rodeo events is the only barrel racing competition for women.

Official events are rodeo saddle and bareback bronc riding, individual and team roping events, steer wrestling, bull riding and barrel racing. While injuries can occur in any of rodeo, bronco riding and bull riding are the most dangerous events. Cowboys are frequently injured and have been killed in these activities.

There was some controversy has been raised by animal rights activists against the tradition of the rodeo. While these objections are certainly sincere concern measured over a certain myth about the actions and treatment of rodeo stock. Rough stock, bucking horses and bulls may seem tortured wild animals, but they are bred and raised for this purpose. They are very valuable, they carefully treated and respected as animal athletes and champions in their work. While animals look wild and certainly may be dangerous, they are carefully treated by handler, veterinarians and loaded trailer for the trip, such as horse ranch.

Despite the controversy, rodeo is going strong. For all events in the United States, and a lot of activities in other countries, the Rodeo is a popular spectacle. TV coverage of major events is provided. Local groups stage have their own rodeos, and for all age groups
