Camping Trips Are Perfect For The Entire Family - Travel

Summertime is not over yet. There's still time for that family vacation you have diligently saved up for. Instead of going to a crowded beach or stuffing the kids in the car to drive across the country to visit the in-laws, opt for a camping trip.

Pitch a tent and roast some marshmallows. Enjoy each other in the wide open spaces. Your entertainment will be counting the endless stars, laughing at each other's stories and cooking your simple dinners.

RV camping trips are always fun. However, the campgrounds can get very crowded. If you want to avoid all that, simply strap your camping gear to you and head out into the woods. Below are three occasions you can celebrate while camping.

Family holiday

As already stated, family time is always enjoyable when sleeping in a tent in the natural elements.

Camping may not be ideal if you have small children. In this case, staying on a campground or RV grounds is probably the best idea and then taking the kids to the lake or surrounding attractions.

But, if you have older children, getting them out into the woods will test their endurance, challenge their patience (especially when that fire doesn't start on the first strike) and teach them to appreciate and respect the world around them. Camping brings families closer and makes their bonds stronger.

Romantic trips

What better way to get away than with camping? Sleeping in a tent under the stars is way better than staying in a five-star hotel where other couples are. If you want a unique experience, away from the hustle and bustle and tourists, take your sweetheart on a romantic getaway in the heart of nature.

It's the best way to get some extra snuggle time in front of a crackling fire.

Short stays

Camping is ideal if you go for a long, challenging two-day hike. Hiking for a longer period of time, whether it be a couple of days or a week or two, tests your endurance. The idea of hiking all day and then staying in the woods through the night only to hike more the next day may seem exhausting to think about but when you are in the middle of nature, calm and serene, hiking through a mountain, by the end of the day you're not quite ready to leave the peaceful nature around you.

This is why a short camping trip is ideal if you want to hike, too.
