Doozer is about one and a half year old male Pug. He is very social and outgoing and loves everyone he meets. He is great with kids, and both dogs and cats. He is crate trained, potty trained and does well on a leash. He still acts like a puppy and just loves to give kisses and be close to you. He has lots of love to give. He is pretty active and would do best with an active environment to keep him entertained. Playing with the tennis ball is his favorite!
Doozer was adopted, but now that family has decided it is best to return him to the shelter. It is not because he isn?t a wonderful dog, it?s because they are never home and they feel they are not offering him the attention he deserves. Here?s a note from his current foster family:
Doozer is a loving, loyal dog. He knows sit and stay. He even knows stay well enough that he'll wait while we hide his toy for a game of hide and seek. He sleeps in his kennel and will go there when told to. He loves one of our cats, trying to play with her from time to time. He will try to show the other cat that he's not afraid of her by standing up to her ? she does not like dogs and he must know it! He never tries to harm her. He was once a ?runner? when we first got him, but now he will stay in the yard with us, unleashed. So, he can and will learn his boundaries with time and patience but you must be careful at first, as with any dog, until they get used to their surroundings. He is very good with our kids and we will miss him, but we feel it is best to find him a home where his family can spend more time with him.
