BRENNAN?S BUZZ: This one is turning into the Sharks vs. the Jets right before our eyes, no? (First - and last - ?West Side Story? reference of the season). Bad blood everywhere. Rex talking smack. Coughlin taking shots at Rex. Brandon Jacobs saying this is a ?Blue Town,? and Plaxico Burress can?t wait to take his shot against the Giants? Swiss-cheese secondary. Boy, there?s more Christmas cheer here than in all of Whoville (?Grinch? reference for those who didn?t get the ?West Side Story? one). So what?s it gonna be, boys? Draw swords at the 50-yard line? A Dave Diehl vs. Sinoe Pouha arm wrestling match in the parking lot? (If there?s beer and wagering, we?re there). In a game with so much on the line, I prefer my quarterback to have Super Bowl MVP credentials in one going right down to the wire.

BEARS at PACKERS
Sunday, 8:20 p.m., Ch. 4, Packers by 13, 45?
BRENNAN?S BUZZ: Now that the undefeated monkey has been lifted from the Pack?s back, all Green Bay has left to accomplish is winning home-field advantage throughout the playoffs. They need one win - or one Niners loss - to do that. Yes, the Bears have been dreadful since Jay Cutler broke his thumb (though he still would have been better than Caleb Hanie with 10 good fingers), but this is a battle of ancient rivals. And the Packers are banged up pretty good right now, and will play Sunday without WR Greg Jennings and OT Bryan Bulaga for sure, and possibly RB James Starks and leading tackler Desmond Bishop. That?s a lot of holes to be giving 13 points to anyone. Even a Bears team with Josh McCown at QB. IF I WERE A BETTING MAN: Bears and the over.
